Summer Camp Brochure 2012

The staff work to create a safe environment where campers see the love of God in the way their counsellors live with them.   Each activity has a purpose.  Some of these purposes are: to develop this safe environment within the cabin; to have opportunities to get to know campers individually; to teach them how to become a godly young man or women; and to simply to have fun just being kids.

Each day campers are awakened around 7:00 a.m. and half an hour later everyone is outside for morning games.  After breakfast at 8:00 a.m., campers and counsellors have a themed cabin clean-up and the winning cabin gets a special privilege.  Campers and counsellors then go to chapel for a special time of learning and being taught from the Bible.  Camp electives are next!  Each cabin gets an opportunity to do each elective twice throughout the week. These electives can be viewed under the Camp Activities tab.  After lunch we have rest hour, a time to be quiet and energize for the rest of the day.  Campers and counsellors then enjoy some more electives, followed by tuck time in which each camper gets the snack they ordered earlier in the day.  Then they play a big camp game followed by supper.  In the evening, there is often a campfire, followed by a snack. Next they have cabin devotions. The counsellor reviews the lesson taught in chapel earlier in the day or shares something they have learned from the Bible.  The day ends with a good night of sleep preparing to start again the next day.
